On my way back from Chiang Mai
On Thai Airways, from Chiang Mai to Bangkok
March 30, 2005
So here we are!
The vision is slowly but certainly taking shape: a small team based in Chiang Mai that connects networks learning from local responses to HIV around the world ! With Usa as learning facilitator and Alex as business manager, we are making a great team, blending our diverse backgrounds and experience.
As I take off from Chiang Mai, one memory emerges among my two week stay. One evening, we had invited our friends based in Chiang Mai to give them advance notice of the launch of the Constellation in early May. Their enthusiasm for the Constellation vision and ways of working was really inspiring!
One more month, and we shall be able to invite all interested to join the Constellation and support each other with our hopes and practical experiences!

It certainly is taking shape! But I would say that most about the practical stuff - the vison seems to have been in place for some time. The fact that it (the vision) seems to be staying fairly constant should be the biggest assurance you can have. But hey, we'll also gladly take some credit for being inspiring ;-)
It was a pleasure to see the team together in Chiang Mai last month, to hear about your focus on the practical details, and to spend the evening with *your* collective enthusiasm once again.
Looking forward to the 'formal' launch.
Best, Tim
(PS - it just occurred to me that "On my way back from Chiang Mai" would be a good title for an article/book? or maybe a song)
